Blood Bank at St. Olav's Hospital There is no substitute for blood. Blood can not be produced artificially. Blood must be provided. Patients and health care system is totally dependent on blodgivernes volunteer efforts. Since blood has a limited shelf life, there is a constant need for new supplies. As a donor makes you an important community effort and we welcome you as a blood donor, and thank you for wanting to give of yourself.
We need about 1,200 new donors each year in Orkdal and Trondheim to replace donors who for some reason can not give blood anymore with us. Our goal is to recruit 1,400 new in 2012. Maybe you are one of these?
